For 38 years we have been creating beauty and delight for our customers as we gather ideas and specialty items sourced from our travels and experiences.  This season’s new finds come from artisan makers near and far, and you can be confident that every item will be a treat for the palate, home and heart!

Each themed collection will be packed in a handmade crate, linen bag, or nibble board and embellished with fresh greens, clear cellophane and a festive ribbon.

Linen Eye Pillows
Simple luxury at its finest, our exquisite eye pillows (in four shades of Hillis green) are made with 100% fine linen and filled with flax and lavender harvested from our Healdsburg, California guest home.  Handcrafted in San Francisco by our dear friend Christina at Studiopatro, these lovely little pillows are a practical and perfect gift!

Linen Gift Bags
Handmade for us using the finest 100% linen in oatmeal, these favorite gift bags are all dressed up with the iconic Hillis urn!  We will be using them to package gift bags, and know your recipients will love reusing and regifting them just as we do!

Hillis & Company Candle
We are so excited to be partnering with local company, Wax Buffalo, on an exclusive scented pillar candle.  We have worked hard to find a scent that is “just right” – not too overpowering, or sweet, just a clean, fresh, bright scent with ginger and citrus notes.  Our candle is made from soy wax, which is clean and safe to breathe and produces less soot.  This is a candle anyone will love – truly!

Hello Morning

Make someone’s day with our bountiful crate of breakfast and brunch delights.  Mike discovered our new favorite Zweibel’s Granola while shopping the farmer’s market in Sonoma County.  Handmade in small batches, this chunky and crunchy Almond & Golden Raisin granola makes a great cereal and an even better snack right from the bag!  Our latest obsession from Big Spoon Roasters  is the Pistachio Crunch Almond Butter.  We have only had it for a few months and it already boasts a cult following from our staff and customers.  Warning – it’s highly addictive! 

Brooklyn’s brother/sister duo, Zach & Zoe Sweet Bee Farm makes exquisite raw honey to wake up your toast and pancakes.  Our current offerings include Creamed Wildflower, and Wildflower with Lemon.  Again, we have chosen our favorite American Spoon Buckwheat Pancake Mix and our sublime Noble Tahitian Vanilla Bean & Egyptian Chamomile Blossom small batch maple syrup to round out the perfect breakfast feast.  Hint: the syrup is also exceptional drizzled in oatmeal.  A new handmade small batch jam discovery comes from Brins who believe in using whole fruit, zero preservatives or chemicals and less sugar in their Strawberry Lemongrass with a touch of ginger and lime.  Finally, we are including a lovely and useful 100% linen Gingham Tea Towel from Studiopatro in a fresh new poppy and cream.

Nibble Board

Wooden live-edged charcuterie boards lovingly hand crafted by our talented friend, Joseph, are brimming with possibilities for your next gathering!  Once again, local award-winning cheese maker, Charuth, at Dutch Girl Creamery has crafted two special cheeses – Dolle Mina a gouda style cow milk cheese, and a unique Goat Cheddar – both mild and divine.  Pair these cheeses with a selection of flatbread crackers, and Sonoma’s famed Journeyman Meat Co Italian Salame in its festive red wrapper.  Our beloved Cheesesticks, and savory Eat This Yum Balsamic Caramelized Onions will round out your board for the perfect bites.
 
We are also including a couple of our new favorite products for your snacking and sipping pleasure – Loloyum Japanese Seaweed Snacks are another addictive treat beloved by all.  Avec all-natural premium carbonated mixers are made to enjoy on their own as an alcohol-free cocktail, or as a mixer with your favorite spirit.  Low to no sugar, you’ll find nothing artificial in these delightful little cans.  Choose from Jalapeno and Blood Orange (a nod to a spicy margarita), Yuzu and Lime (gin and tonic vibes), or Grapefruit Pomelo (a Paloma without the sugar!).  Happy hour never looked so good.

We at Hillis and Company understand the importance of ritual and the need to relax and unwind.  Bestow a sense of calm and peace with our collection of self-care specialties.  Packed in our 100% linen handmade reusable bag you will find our custom Studiopatro lavender and flax filled eye pillow, and our Wax Buffalo colab Hillis and Company Soy Candle in a subtle and fresh scent that is universally loved. 
Enjoy reading a poem a day from our favorite, Mary Oliver’s Why I Wake Early, while sipping on a cup of delicious Absolute Almond black loose-leaf tea from Gong Fu Tea.  Sooth dry skin with lightly scented Mint Rosemary Shea Butter Hand Cream from elizabeth W (also available in Orange Clove), and everyone needs a bit of chocolate to relax and unwind so we are well stocked with our favorites from Dick Taylor Craft Chocolate (orange bourbon pecan, and blackberry bergamot), Fran’s Almond Gold Bars, and  Charles Chocolates (caramelized crisped rice, and toffee coffee).

Chocolate Lovers

You asked for it and we have delivered – the ultimate chocolate indulgence!  We are well stocked with our personal favorite chocolate treats and would love to create a custom gift bag for your gifting needs.  Harth Hot Chocolate is a recent discovery for us from England.  This thick and luxurious hot chocolate is made with organic cocoa by a micro-batch, ethical chocolate company that is organically certified and it is truly one of the best we have tried.  We carried Fran’s Almond Gold Bars many years ago, and recently rediscovered our love for this exceptional bar while traveling.  There is truly nothing better if you are a lover of the chocolate, almond, soft burnt caramel combo – it is simple perfection. 
We have also rediscovered another old favorite artisan chocolatier, Charles Chocolates and have chosen to offer two of their mini bars in Toffee Coffee  and Caramelized Crisped Rice which we feel are a perfect guilt-free single serve portion.  Our limited seasonal offering from the exquisitely packaged Dick Taylor Craft Chocolate is the Blackberry Bergamot 65% dark chocolate bar sourced in Belize.  It is another perfect paring from this special single origin maker.  As always, we are stocked with a selection of delectable chocolate cookies baked locally as well as from kitchens such as Rustic Bakery’s Chocolate Cocoa Nib Shortbread, and Wooden Table Baking Co. Peppermint Alafajores a traditional Argentinian specialty handcrafted with mint and chocolate cookies joined by dulce de leche and covered in dark chocolate.
